Josiah's grandparents own a cottage in Michigan on one of the Great Lakes. During the summer when the Curley family visits Grandma and Grandpa, Josiah spends many hours navigating their small rowboat that holds a 5hp motor. Michigan's Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay is both shallow and sandy. Josiah can safely ride along endless shoreline areas exploring and enjoying the vastness of the lake. Josiah hopes that one day as an adult, he will own a boat large enough to cross this beautiful bay and explore its many islands. Josiah boating on Lake Huron.
Josiah with his favorite stuffed animal, Buster.     Josiah has a companion who is rather unique. He came all the way from the backwoods of Canada and measures about three feet long. Most people entering Josiah's room are very surprised to see a rather handsome stuffed animal named Buster the Beaver.
